Glow & Grow: A Community Creativity Experience
Anticipated launch: February 2027
Project Overview
Glow & Grow is a proposed free, immersive community creativity experience designed to bring art, movement, personal development, and family engagement together in Southeast Baltimore.
Hosted by Julie Community Center, the experience will transform our building into an exciting glow-in-the-dark environment where children ages 4–12 and their families can explore creativity, strengthen relationships, and develop new skills.
Community Need
Free creative enrichment and meaningful family engagement can help children build confidence while introducing new families to Julie Community Center.
Project Goals
- Creative enrichment: Provide approximately 50 children with a free, engaging experience that encourages imagination, confidence, and personal growth.
- Sustainable programming: Invest in reusable lighting, equipment, and activity materials that can support future Julie Community Center events and enrichment programs.
- Community engagement: Introduce new families to Julie Community Center, strengthening relationships with residents who may not have previously visited the building.
